Granite Jazz consists of a select jazz band with membership through audition only. The student must be enrolled in either 6th or 7th Hour Band and agrees to attend all rehearsals and performances. This group meets during the 5-2 Jazz Band Sectional during the spring semester, and performs on all jazz concerts, at district and state competitions, and at other performances that require a small group. Granite Jazz performs a variety of music including swing, rock, funk, and Latin. Auditions are held in November.
